Austin Powers is one of the most memorable characters from the 1990′s and 2000′s to hit the big screen and love him or hate him, he’s a very funny spoof to James Bond.
The first in the film series was “Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery” where Austin Powers follows his arch enemy, Dr. Evil, to the future through cryogenic freezing. Once unfrozen, Powers has to deal with the change from the 60′s to the 90′s while also figuring out Dr. Evil’s scheme. Dr. Evil, not only has to combat not having a plant that hasn’t happened, but has to also come to terms with his son who was artificially created while he was frozen.
In “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me”, you meet up with Austin and the lovely Vanessa Kensington as they are on their honeymoon. After Kensington turns out to be a killer robot and ends up self-destructing, Austin grieves, but then jumps right back in the single game. Dealing with a new partner now that Kensington is dead, Austin must find his mojo before it’s too late. In the end, Austin and Felicity (his new partner) become a couple and he gets his mojo back. Additionally, the turmoil in the Evil family is never-ending as Scott Evil (Dr. Evil’s son) learns he was a love child and not a test-tube baby.
Finally, in “Austin Powers in Goldmember”, Austin arrests Dr. Evil and is awarded a knighthood that his father didn’t attend. As it turns out, Nigel Powers (Austin’s father) was kidnapped. Once he arrives, Austin Powers, now without Felicity, meets up with Foxxy Cleopatra, an FBI agent. They chase Goldmember to 2002 and must stop his plans to help the now free Dr. Evil from building a tractor beam to pull in a meteor to collide with Earth and create massive flooding. After a very strange and turning series of events, the meteor is stopped and Goldmember is arrested.
